Wisepreneurs helps experienced professionals build independent practices around the expertise they've spent careers developing.
Through the Wisepreneurs Podcast and consulting services, founder Nigel Rawlins works with professionals navigating the transition from corporate or institutional roles to running their own practice.
The focus is practical:
—how to position accumulated professional judgment so the right clients recognise its value, —how to price advisory work appropriately, and —how to build a sustainable practice without
relying on high-volume marketing tactics.
Wisepreneurs serves professionals across consulting, advisory, and professional services who bring deep domain knowledge but want a more deliberate approach to business development, one that reflects the quality of their work rather than the volume of their output.
I'm Nigel Rawlins, founder of Wisepreneurs, based on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria.
I've spent 20+ years working in marketing and business development with professional services firms, and the pattern I kept seeing was the same: highly capable people who could solve complex problems for clients but struggled to articulate what made their own expertise worth paying for.
Wisepreneurs grew out of that observation.
Through the Wisepreneurs Podcast I've had in-depth conversations with more than 80 professionals, including coaches, authors, publishers, psychologists, neuroscientists, and independent practitioners, about what actually works when you're building a practice around accumulated professional judgment.
Those conversations have shaped a practical understanding of the challenges experienced professionals face when transitioning to independent work.
I work with people who are good at what they do but want a more deliberate approach to how they present that capability to the market.
If that sounds like your situation, book a discovery meeting and we'll work out whether I can help.
